How do I squeeze it in without stretching her out?

So I've joined in the Bone/Ivory/Fossilized Walrus Ivory revolution, and recently recieved my new FWI saddle that's older than Jesus. As of tonight I am sanding it down (slowly and carefully) so it'll fit in the standard Taylor slot with no risk of damage. Anyone else have experience with this? I bought some digital calipers off of ebay to smooth the process.
