i'm lookin into getting a new guitar - i was at Guitar Center (in NY) and i kinda fell in love with this taylor 614ce. the tag is $2,599.99 - i know i can talk them down, but i dont know how much and i was wondering if anyone wouldn't mind giving me some input as to what would be reasonable and if the 614 is even worth it.

way too expensive, i know someone who got an 814 for that price.

Hey, I just got a 614ce a week ago. Great guitar. Anyway I got mine for 2350 plus tax. I didn't get it at GC, got it at a small little shop where i live. Anyway hope this helps.

dude...you should try used. i got a used 814 for 1650 after haggling. honestly, don't even try thatone. that's WAY too expensive for a 614. look around more.

Im sure you have heard this before...but Taylor retailers typically pay 50% of the list price and you can usually go 10-15% up on that cost (be reasonable) and work from there. Just a starting point for ya.

Yeah that is way too much for a 614-CE, you should be able to get a new one right about $2000 or so. Talking them down is something you should definitely do if you want to get it from them for any particular reason

But yeah, just keep looking around, you'll find a price you'll like
