Hey - So I was thinking of picking up a Fender Strat, and I was curious about which one was the best for like 400 bucks or so.... I mean, I'm flexible upwards, but I'm just curious if any of you know what the best electric fender in that price range is (like 400 - 700 bucks) - any other good companies to scope out in that range? Any info would be sweet. Thanks all....

in that range, i'd go for a G&L Legacy (for the strat sound) or a Godin SDxt (for more versatility).

G&L's are more of a fender than fenders are now.

i feel like i'm repeating myself too often now. ;)
