I'm having a hell of a time getting my acoustic to get that nice acoustic sound out of my amp.
I have the Fishman Prefix plus. It has Notch, Volume, Brilliance, Contour, Treble, Bass and Frequency settings.
Is there some way I can set it up to get a decnt sound....or at least a direction that I can aim for?
I have no preamps, so all i can help you with is if you would elaberate on each knobs particuar reason (treble obviously adds the bright almost tinny sound)...etc.

yeah i tried that....i'm jsut not to sure what contour actually does....oh well i'll keep tinkering....i'm probably gonna need to get a new amp...

well, I have a cheapie CRATE, but I either play places that have systems (i.e. talent show, church, etc.) because chet needs no effects...the guitar sounds better without an amp...still, at home, I use the BR-8 to harvest every effect possible for recording...I need to get a nice LINE 6 for my LES PAUL DELUXE though...

Nice...i have an Epiphone Flying V for my electric...(yes epiphon...iwas a kid that didn't know the difference) and an Epiphone Chet (it was a gift I had no say) that doesn't work....the middle strings aren't making any noise....then my Taylor...
I want to get a Fender Acoustasonice for my Taylor...I have heard great things about them....
