Be careful with "My Antonia"

This weekend I was playing at a cafe and for the verse of "My Antonia" that reads: "for a treasure not ever so fine or so fair as the flash of her smile or the touch of her fingers, the fire in her heart or the smell of her hair" I sang (accidentally) "for a treasure not ever so fine or so fair as the flash of her smile or the smell of her fingers..."

Now, this is amusing in itself, but when you consider that I've played this song live twice and it happened BOTH TIMES, it's rather humorous. I don't know why I always do that. Just a heads-up. Don't be smelling your lady's fingers. The audience got a kick out of it, though.

That is kind of funny, but then again, adding and taking things out of songs kind of makes them your own

No I have never been there but it sounds familiar. Next time I go visit my buddy up there I will have to check with you to see if you are playing anywhere. That would be cool to see you play!

I haven't recently but I keep meaning to he has been up there for a bit taking classes for pre-med. I will have to let you know when I do.
