Learning DMB

First of all I would like to say that this site is great. I did a search and this is exactly what I was looking for.

I have been playing for quite a while and I'm branching out to other music. I'm interrested in learning Dave's songs, but I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on which ones to start out on. I think since his style is a lot different, and harder, than what I am use to. So I think I should start on the easier ones then progress to the harder ones. BTW, I almost have Ant's Marching down on guitar, but the singing will be a while, lol.

Any help for some of you DMV Vets would be appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestions. Here's an update. I have Ants Marching and Best of What's Around down on guitar about 90%, just having trouble matching up the vocals to the guitar, but it will come sooner or later. Thanks again...

BTW, I just DLed your book and it is awesome!! Now to find a color laser printer...

Learn Two Step, Grey Street, Lover Lay Down, PNP, Cry Freedom, #34, and Satellite. Once you have those down you should be pretty comfortable with the Dave style. If you've already been playing guitar for a while then you should be able to play Dave's songs fine, you just need to adjust to the unique style and fingerings.
