I've got a couple of notes of the solo figured out; I'll update it when I get home. It's a bunch of notes from an A Chord (5th fret) and a D or E down around the 12th (on the high strings)

The second part of the riff you're talking about is just that hammer on played with a d chord. I have a test in a few minutes, Ill try to figure the solo out when I get home

No problem. I haven't done anything with the solo yet, but at the moment I can tell you that the F#m you have after the Em, should be a Bm.

Just curious. What is your definition of altered? I guess I'm wondering you mean by Cmaj (alt). Like, #11 or #5? Because it's not like you'd use a b9 or #9 over a major chord typically, and I generally consider "altered" to mean b9, #9, #11, #5. In fact I've never seen a maj chord referred to as altered.
