Martin's Black Micarta

Anyone have any experience with or opinons on the Micarta fingerboards and bridges that Martin is using on the 16 series? I have been looking at the Martin D-16RGT recently and am wondering if I should be scared off by the use of this material.

the d16rgt is A beautiful guitar. it'll be my next one

(unless i go for the hd35... which is still a possibility)

I think it's going to be my next guitar also. As far as bang for the buck I haven't found anything I like better yet.
