Another Trippin Billies question

what do you do here during the verse:

8~~~~~-

ive seen some tabs that play the E string on the 8th fret and then the A string on the 7th fret.

Please feel freem to clear this up and explain how to play this:8~~~~~-

let the 8 ring out....that is, hit that note, but don't let go for a little while

Not long, but it still rings while you play the little part.

u have to let go for the 5-7 slide on the E string, so right before you do that

I play a 9/10 slide on D instead of the 4/5 on G, so the 8 rings perfectly.

that will work, but thats not the way Dave plays it, plus you have to totally change your fingering for it, which makes it harder IMO
