Actually it went up to $5500 but when the seller ends the auction early the price goes back to the original starting bid, in this case $4500.
Here's another DM3MD for Sale, but this one looks like a scam. The seller has old bad feedback. I would ask him to email more pictures of the guitar and the label, to make sure he actually has it. I would also use an escrow service. It also looks like he's using a newly created ebay i.d. to jack up the auction price.
"Thank you everybody so much again for tonight. We hope you had a good time with us. We're kind of relaxed and y'all hopefully y'all relaxed too. This is beautiful humidity. We enjoy it and everybody take care of yourselfs. Muaha..." DM
Another one just sold on ebay friday evening...the last high bid that I saw was $5,100.
You just have to constantly be looking, but really, if I were to look at the past one year, I have seen at least 5 of them for sale. They have sold anywhere from $4000 to $5500.

Hey all,
I think I found who won that guitar Friday evening. Apparently he bid on it but was out bid but ended up winning it somehow (I'm guessing high bidder backed out). But not after he had already bought a Taylor 810 through "Buy it Now." He kept both guitars, the DM3MD and the 810.
