Taylor 310 ce

Post by twostepthis »

I just bought a new 310 ce with the ES. But, it seems that the G string hums very lightly when i play it and it sounds like it is always being muted. Anyone know what would cause something like this. I does not seem to be hitting any of the frets so im at a loss.

the action might be too low, every time a string is plucked there are some harmonics that are created at each fret because of the vibration. If the action is too low, there is no room to vibrate, hence the buzzing.

sounds like the action is too low, take it to a tech to get it set up, won't be that expensive
