Just got back from the Gorge shows. They kicked ass. Timmy played part of the Stairway to Heaven solo during Watchtower, then played with his teeth. And Jeff Coffin is nuts.
During the encore break all three nights, they played a slideshow of pictures of LeRoi growing up to #34. The crowd would laugh at the goofy ones and clap and cheer at a lot of them. On N1, they mentioned LeRoi and saw his name written in glow sticks. Then what seemed like thousands of glow sticks lit up and were thrown around, looking like fireflies; it was nuts-looking. And the crowd chanted LeRoi's name. Sweet weekend as always.
Oh, and I got a 5th row ticket on N2 for $50 right before the show

I was about 20 feet back front center.
Sound quality there was god awful if you were front center.
Was this the first set with no stand up songs all tour?
Show was really good, but i wanted to hear something that wasnt played in the last day or two, and that sure didnt happen. Stone opener was nice.
I was hanging out right next to Carter before the show but didnt want to nag him. He looks like he's lost a ton of weight.
