Alternate-Style guitars
What do ya'll think about the Ovation Elite-Special 1778? You think round-back guitars are any good?

They sound good, and play great onstage, but if you can't deal with that round back, you shouldn't go near ovations. I personaly like to sit down and play, and ovations just slide right out of my lap, so you have to stand or have a strap holding it tight and close. But, if you can deal with the back, they are pretty good sounding guitars.

i have a Celebrity Deluxe. It actually sounds pretty darn good considering the price. ill have to agree with the ranting thesbian about sitting down and playing. it is a pain.
you can hear my Celebrity Deluxe in action at:

Click on cover songs. all the ryhthm guitars used in the songs are the celebrity deluxe, and there's no effects whatsoever on those tracks. and i dont have high end equipment, so you're just hearing the guitar plugged stright into the computer.
