would changing to a heavier gauge damage my guitar?

This is the place to talk about guitar playing not done by Dave! Topics about techniques, styles, theory, and other guitarists go here.

Sounds like your guitar could be too wet? I was reading the taylor tech sheets and wet guitars become warped, and drying them out returns them to their natural state.

really? because the guitar was warped BEFORE i had ever tried humidifying it.
if that is the case, i'd better stop humidifying. but it really sucks because the guy at the store said humidifying should fix it over about 6 weeks or so, but it hasn't done shit really

My friends 12 string Martin started to raise at the bridge but that was because he didn't make sure his guitar was properly humidified.
