Favorite Song?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Favorite Song?

Post by scoot_14 »

What is everyone's favorite DMB song to play on guitar (or any instrument).

I find most of them to be pretty hard (but I'm a keyboardist and I'm getting better at the guitar). Halloween is really fun for me. I'm also a fan of Angel From Montgomery (an easy on for sure).

My favorites are most probably Jimi Thing and Tripping Billies, although the former is kind of hard to sing and play at the same time.

hmmm my favorite song(s) to play would have to be:

1) Ants Marching (just love the slide thingy)
2) Jimi Thing (gotta love that one)
3) Warehouse (kinda hard when I first started out, but it's cooooool)

Oh yeah by the way, I play the guitar!

favorite song to play

i kinda like minarets, satellite, jimi thing, and the stone. they are hard to start out on, well, minarets is pretty easy, but they all are once you practice them enough, then they become no sweat. its cool having your fingers moving all the time, and its easy once you get it

I get hooked on different Dave songs all the time. I think my favorite to play and sing is the Stone, but lately I've been having fun with Jimi Thing

My favorite, and I'm probably weird, is #34. I love playing that.
The jam in What Would You Say is a lot of fun, too.

My favorite to sing and play is Cry Freedom, most likely. :)

That's the one I use. It's the most accurate, I think.
It's really nice to play once you get the "flow," down. I'd recommend playing the first six notes like: 579xxx, and then x7911xx, you know?

Like, pick the three notes, but form them as chords. Yeah.

I don't know what I'm talking about, ignore me, lol..

I like Satellite and Minarets for the fingering parts, and Lie In Our Graves and Jimi Thing are lots of fun, too.

And I'm a Smashing Pumpkins fan and all, but that massive Billy Corgan picture might get real annoying real fast...
