The guy at sam ash said he'd put a new nut and saddle in my guitar for $70, plus the cost of strings. Is that too much. It sounds rather steep to me.

i was going to have the saddle done too but my pickup is underneath it so i just left it but that WOULD have cost $15.

Well i took it in today. 85 bucks. He's cuting the saddle, nut, and doing a little repair work. My guitar has been making a wierd buzzing sound when i play something percussive. Turns out one of the ribs in the bracing came unglued from the back of the guitar. So he is regluing it for me. So i guess for all he is doing the price isn't all that bad.
