ok, here's my opinion. people hate john because they see his crap that they throw on the radio. what he has on the radio are the worst songs on his record. it's rediculous. i don't know whether or not you've seen him live, but his stage personality is great, and his chops are insane. he doesn't really use all of his talent on cd. i don't think he knocks on dave at all. he actually said in an article in guitar world mag that dave inspired him.
