Im looking for a Martin acoustic and I was wondering wat u guys thought is the best one to get around $1000?

For that price range, Martin is probably not the best choice. Check this great thread:

Anyway, if you really want a Martin, check the 16 series or, if you like mahogany, the 15 series. Don't go below that IMO...

ya thats a pretty helpful thread, thanks. that D-15 looks pretty nice, but maybe im gonna hafta wait a couple years and save up for a D-35. I think if i had my pick out of any guitar right now, I would like to have Dave's old lakewood in my hands. I drool over it while watching the solo spoon video on youtube
