Taylor 110 With Pickup?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Taylor 110 With Pickup?

Post by myonlybliss »

First off---I didn't know Taylor made the 110 with a Fishman Pickup in it. Did they just start this or has it been discontinued and if discontinued, why??

Thanks,

Brandon

More than it is worth...as all Taylors are.

They are excellent guitars, don't get me wrong, but I almost bought one until I found out how much better of a value and how much better sound and playing I could get through an all handmade Larrivee. Taylors are very expensive, even the lower models, and if you look around enough you can probably find a handmade one that sounds just as good for a bundle less. Take the Larrivee LV-03RE acoustic electric rosewood cutaway for example- mine was $850 not a single taylor is even near that price with those features. Not to mention that I really do think that it sounds better than all the taylors I have played (and I have played a ton of them) Thats just my 2 cents :)

Tone is a matter of taste , besides you can go out and buy a 100$ guitar and modify it a bit yourself , filling up the sound hole with something , add a bone saddle , small things , and you can get a very nice guitar , people are more interested in spending alot of money and show off though :) And to some , they simply like the looks of the more expensive guitars

wow....they put the dollar sign after the number in Denmark? or is it a character on your computer for euros or somehting? anyway, i agree with you, I'm just trying to make a point as you so nicely did, that Taylors and Martins may be top of the line factory made guitars, but you can get a great sounding (even better sounding) guitar that isnt a Taylor or Martin. There are better guitars out there so don't go for just the name!
