I am so angry, I am seeing red colors right now.

I just put a ding on my brand new D-15. I know it does not change the sound, but I now see it. Every time I look down. It was perfect, then I bring out the klutz crown and hit it on my case buckle things. Now I have a small gouge, scratch, whatever.

Anger.

Someone console me with stories about how this has happened to you. Please.

it adds character, as long as you can play it the same as you did before the accident, it doesn't matter

Maybe in a month I'll go for the character thing.

Right now I want to puke. It is purely cosmetic. I knew this would happen, just not this soon.

Agreed. But it's NEW. It's the first really nice guitar I've owned.

don't worry...i did the same exact thing when i got my brand new dx-1 for christmas 2 years ago. i set it down in the case and it wasn't in perfectly and i knocked the top over by mistake. i actually cried...ahha, yes..pathetic. oh well..it's still one of the two little knicks i have on my guitar. i got over it eventually..but it is hard when it's brand new. can't really avoid it though, it happens to all of us.

nah, i'd rarely buy a used guitar. i'd rather make my own knicks than buy one that someone else already knicked.

wheres the scratch? i have a really bad one right where a preamp normally is on the side. took the finish right off and you can see the wood, looks like a piece of cheap plywood underneath

yeah. i just like to age with it. sentimental value and whatnot. my 414 has slowly acquired dents and dings...used to be paranoid, but now it's becoming an old bastard, like me.
