A few Questions?

when finger picking do you hit each string and know which ones you are hitiing exactly or just go with the flow and let your fingers get carried away?

and when making up tunes do you hear it in your head and put it to music or just stumble across things that are cool and expand on them?

depends, fingerpicking a song like behind blue eyes by the who has to be those notes exactly...play a chord and m,ove your pickinghand to the middle of the neck and go crazy fingerpicking. it can create some cool sounds.

both, but its hard to get exactly what you hear in your head converted to notes, its kinda like tabbing
