So, i was watching a video on dmbontv.com...during Live at the Tabernacle part 1 (4.21.1998), which was recorded for mtv, Dave busts out an electric guitar on Crash Into Me.
From what i can tell, it is a semi-hollowbody electric with two humbuckers...it has either a light yellow or natural finish on it. It is not his Chet or JJ Bari (i would recognize those)..and it is definitely not the electric he played Round and Round on for the Rolling Stone interview.
Was this a normal thing? Did he do this on other songs too?
I was under the impression that he had basically never played an electric guitar live before the Everyday album. Especially on a softer song like Crash Into Me.

Haven't seen that. He has done it a few other times though. A solo performance from around '96/'97 comes to mind, where he played #41 and a few other songs.

the guitar is a Paul Reed Smith he pretty much only used it on Crash Into Me
