i just mixed and matched to put together a thick ass set of strings for my G & L...i used 52, 42, 30, 18, 14, 11...i am absolutely loving this sound...unreal

dude, get flatwounds, you can get up to 13s without going custom

i don't know if i can go much higher than i went with this man...they were like electric cables when i was stringin it up...i will look into that though, thanks

Make sure your neck isn't being twisted by the new torque. Just a caution.
