My Carl Thompson Thread.

Carl called again today. He put on the first coat of oil on last night. He said that with the cocobola and bocote, he won't have to put on as much because those woods inherently have a good amount of oil in them. He's going to to try to finish it by next weekend, so I can come down and watch him play on Sunday when I pick it up. Carl said it looks great, and he's gonna play a couple songs on it during his gig.

Carl's positive it'll be done by this weekend. I'm heading down to the city to pick it up Sunday. He's putting the frets and pickup in today.

i've got to know, and this probably has been covered, but do you have a band that you play consistant gigs with, or are these bass's you have made just to mess around with?

Two thirds of it is paid for. I'll be bringing the last payment down on Sunday.

The pics in my apartment don't do the bass justice. I'm going to take them outside on the grass sometime this week.
