Need some good songs tuned down 1/2 step

It is probably just me but putting the CAPO on the first fret gets it closer but actually tuning it down the half step sounded better. Probably just me but that is what I thought.

didn't they mean - tune it down 1/2 and then when you want to play standard tuning...use the capo on 1st? :?:

That's exactly what they meant... it's a good practice if you don't feel like havinga diffrent guitar for each tuning...

yes, that's what they meant, but putting a capo on the first fret and then tuning the guitar to standard tuning would also put you in Eb (though i've found it very hard to tune with a capo on)
