Lol.. why put up something that you put no practice in? oh i dunno, i do taht occasionally... but i guess if it's something liek this where there will be such scrutiny (as opposed to an orriginal song.. where no one knows how much time you put into it)... i dun really care =)
here are my thoughts:
overall it's very chill. and would make a nice interlude at a live show between songs... (a much shorter version obviously)... definitely re-do that solo track... it's way too busy for the allready busy rhythm side of the song (because of the DL4)... i often have that problem when i do delay looping or whatnot and im soloing overtop of a delayed echoed loop
-- only really rock spot semed to be the transition at 3:16 and 3:25...
nice work in my opinion
/x

Sounds good. Too much delay though. That part I don't like. The way you do the verse kinda sounds country to me. I don't like that part either.
I agree, why post something that you haven't practiced? Why not wait 15 minutes, practice, and THEN record it?
Also, this kind of song doesn't have much for a rhythm part, so it gets boring without the lyrics.
Just my $0.02

well my reasoning for starters is that...
1)I don't really play Dave too much anymore (never played this one)
2)It was 11 at night and I needed some sleep
3)and I just wanted tp know if it was worth persuing...thats all
and hey, try playing a lead on a looping 12 string! It isn't pretty (hence - no more 12 string for this song)
I was just messin on a cover late at night before school

Honestly, I don't see why he WOULDN'T post it. If he took the time, no matter how short, to record something real quick....why not post it??? I mean, this is what the forum is for, ya know??!?!PilotC150 wrote: I agree, why post something that you haven't practiced? Why not wait 15 minutes, practice, and THEN record it?

thanks guys...obviously I'm not going to leave a 7 and a half minute mp3 for the final copy, i just had some fun and improved ideas of what I would like to do with it in the future (w/o the delay and especially w/o the 12 string
)...anywho, thanks for some input guys
