I haven't received the set in the mail, yet, but I didn't know he was back to playing the HD28V again. I thought it was almost exclusively the DM3MD for D&T these days.
That said, I'm glad it's back. That guitar is my favourite - and by "favourite", I don't mean out of Dave's guitars, I mean my absolute favourite.
If my local guitar shop has one in stock, I'm there playing it for a good 15 minutes, even though I can't afford the damn thing. They don't seem to mind, either.
Anyway, yeah, nice to see Dave playing it again.

I noticed the structure of Sister while Dave is playing is much different than the tabs we have here on the site.
Anyone have the proper take on it?
Also, nice to see the DM3MD in heavy rotation on this DVD.

I dunno, I seem to hear dave just fine...what kind of speakers is everyone using to listen? I'm hoping not just tv speakers or crappy boombox speakers. With a decent audio setup it all seems to come out just fine.
Also, as far as the mix goes, the setup is like that for a reason. Dave provides the rhythm and Timmy provides the solo's/melody brighter flashier stuff. This is different from when Dave plays with the band because Dave isn't as much of the rhythm in the band as Carter and Stefan are. (maybe I'm using the wrong terms, but I think you guys know what I'm refering to). If Dave had the same sound he does with the band, you'd have a cd sounding like the Rutabega Sessions. (that's not necessarily bad, but tim's additions wouldn't stand out as much)
