Solid mahogany?

Post by fallon222 »

I was wondering if anyone knew any models besides martins that are made with a solid mahogany tops? I have been searching but have had a hell of a time finding one less than 500? Thanks for your help...

It will be hard to find a solid mahogany top for under 1K. Taylor made some limited edition all mahogany guitars for a few years. They pop up on ebay every now and then, but they are pretty rare.
Here's one.

you can find the larrivee for less than 1200. The 1700 is the list price, not the actual price.

Yeah, Larrivee are awesome and can run pretty cheap if you find a good deal. www.guitaradoptions.com has good prices. If you give them a call or email them and tell Dave what you are looking for he can give you a good price. I got my $1800 Larrivee for about 55% off list. :)

Yes, the D-15 is a solid mahogany top. I got mine for under $500, but it was one hell of a deal.
