It really just depends on how determined you are to play... as long as the will to play and take the time to practice with it for a while, it will eventually turn into something great... so really just go with what you like best and then you have even more reason to play it. just my two cents..
Some of the songs listed are way too hard to learn for your first Dave song. Try a song like "Lover Lay Down" to really grasp the Dave sliding style. Then "Lie In Our Graves" and "Greystreet" will outline the major and minor third inversions Dave uses to get his signature sound. After that all you'll have left to do is fine tune the strumming, muting, open string ringing... Did I mention strumming? Well, best of luck!!!
