guitar buzzing

i'm having a problem with my guitar as of the last time I restrung. all strings buzz when played at the first fret. I can see what's happening to cause it, it's the strings hitting the 2nd fret. my question is what i can do to fix it. should i take it somewhere and have it looked at or are there some things I can check myself.

i've used the same strings (elixir polyweb lights) since I got the guitar, it's strung properly, and the nut seems fine to me. any help would be appreciated.

Raise the action. If you don't know how to, take it to a guitar shop.

is it normal to have the action lower itself on a guitar?

sounds like the guitar is dry to me. humidify it for about 4 days and do a truss rod adjustment and see if that'll help.
