Yea, but when most people post opinions, they say what they are comparing it to. It's horrible compared to DMB's older catalog. Compared to most music out today, it's just standard.

Edit: The CD just turned two on Wednesday I believe, so yea, beat the hell out of this one.

I don't hate stand up. but it's not as good as any of dmb's other stuff....of course it's good compared to popular music right now, if this was some popular band that put out this album it would be probably one of their best albums. I also wouldn't buy an album from one of the popular bands out there. because I don't listen to popular music.

Stand Up is the worst DMB album to me because it is both bad in comparison to their previous work and what is out there today. At least Everyday was a decent album if you look at is as a simple pop record.

Everyday's stock rose dramatically when that Stand Up POS was released. Maybe that was the plan all along.

I voted for both. Obviously its no where close to as good as DMB's earlier releases. Also, I'd listen to Stand Up over something like Simple Plan. But, I'd rather jsut listen to neither. At this point, there are so many better bands than DMB out there in my opninion. So unless they pull something out of their asses (Doesn't really seem that way) I don't see them making anything better than their earlier releases or alot of music I can find today.

My reason for dis-liking Stand Up has got to be that it is nothing compared to all of their older work. I also thing that it is only on-par with a lot of popular music today.

But I think the biggest thing is the songs live. I've heard a lot of the songs from Stand Up live, and quite frankly, I'm not too impressed with how they sound live. They don't really seem to get the same energy other DMB songs. Even the songs on Everyday, whether people hate/hated them or not, have grown a bit over the years, and are starting to sound more old DMB than they did when they were first written.

I didn't feel that it was that BAD of an album. I just felt dissapointed after they debuted songs like Crazy Easy and Good Good Time the summer before SU came out. Those songs had that DMB sound to them. Then we got an album produced by a guy who primarily worked in hip-hop that sounded nothing like DMB.

I listened to the album for a few monhts after it initially came out, but if I'm shuffling through my iPod today, I skip right over the Stand Up songs. I'd rather listen to Warehouse for the 10,000th time than hear Steady As We Go for the 100th.

Of course, I am not bashing Warehouse. I just wanted to emphasize the staying power of songs like that compared to the "Pop" sounding songs of Stand Up.
