I just bought Fenway. It's...alright, I guess. Say Goodbye has some cool changed up chorus lyrics. As a whole, the cd is ok though.

That version of Billies is incredible. I don't care what people say about Rashawn, I dig the Rashawn-Roi duo. I agree with Cor about Fenway though, overall is was average. Disc two is awesome, though. Great set. And, as crappy as the lyrics are, I like Break Free. The outro is just so cool

i cant get past shitty lyrics. ive tried, i just cant. i think thats what makes stand up so unenjoyable for me. some of the songs with the better instrumentals (you might die trying, dreamgirl) have the worse lyrics. same way with break free, the lyrics are lame

I do like how Roi and Rashawn do all of that duo stuff. Kind of cool. Dave's voice sounds kind of shitty during this whole cd. Like, all of his scatting/improvising/wailing just sounds so goofy and not serious. I don't know how to explain it. When I listen to it again I'll give some specific examples.

Also, I think Break Free is great. Probably because, in general, I think lyrics are the most insignificant part of the song.

i know, i completely understand that. but the lyrics on half of the stand up album and break free are unbearable to me.
