I am a pretty mediocre guitar player myself. I won an ovation celebrity 12 that I bought because I like the sound of 12 strings. I love mine. It takes forever to get used to the round back. I learne dto play on a cheap fender and then an Epiphone FT-145. I got my ovation about a year and a half ago....
