I have one of these studios, a BR-1180 I got off of E-Bay for about a third of its retail price. I've found it really intuitive and simple to use, from recording to punching in to editing/mastering/burning. You will consult the manual plenty of times at first, but after your first recording it will ...

Thanks for the suggestions, I think I'll look into John Mayer's stuff. I've never actually given his music a shot although I like the Kid A cover and love when he plays the blues.

What to play after Dave?
Like everyone here I enjoy playing dave's songs, but I've learned all my favorites and I've found myself in a rut. I want to move on to different acoustic music but I can't find something interesting enough. I mean I really like stuff like Jack Johnson but it takes about a minute to learn.

This sounds really good. Good job on guitar, the rhythm is spot on. The singing is also really good, the background vocals added a nice touch. I have a question, I've listened to most of your songs and something that really stands out is the great vibrato in your voice, I've always wondered is that ...

The guitar was really good, it had a great atmospheric sound. The singing was good too, but I think what would really help the song is if you increased the intensity of your voice as the song goes on, especially when you get to "until I live today" which seems to be the peak of the song- sing that ...

I'm not too familiar with this song, but I thought your recording was good. The rhythm was good and I love the intensity you put into your singing. The fadeout at the end sounded good too. I would agree with the previous comment that the instruments overpowered the vocals too much at times, making ...

Matt, thanks for the great feedback! I don't have a pop filter, I was wondering where that noise was coming from. I have a shure condenser mic and record into a Boss BR1180.

Green Eyes
Hi, I've been listening to the covers at this site for a long time and finally figured out how to post one myself. This is the coldplay song off "A rush of blood to the head".
