so how's it going? ;) Been down at my girlfriend's the past week and no computer, hence late reply, but i've had chance to practice playing along to Stereophonics Performance and Cocktail. I have a tab/lyric book which i've just never tried to sing along to before. A minute longer i'm really not do...

Suggestion: don't play dave songs. play songs that are just simple chords, and you'll find that the strumming and chord changes just parallell the words I've been working on Idea of You....eh... heh, figured out tryin it with Dave songs was not a good place to start. My friend summed it up w...

Re: tab requests
Fix you (coldplay) http://ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/c/coldplay/fix_you_acoustic_crd.htm I use that for most of my tabs and it's as good as MXtabs IMHO. Dunno about the rest but search at ultimate guitar and see what you think. The ratings help pick a decent tab and give you a general idea how many pe...

Learning to Sing and Play - suggestions for songs...
I was wondering if anyone out there had suggestions for songs to play on the guitar that are easy to sing along to. I've tried a few times in the past to sing along to Dave whilst playing, but it's like patting my head and rubbing my stomach at the same time... Too difficult for my tiny mind to comp...

Okay, so I went to Guitar Center today, tried out some guitars, and still can't make up my mind!!! I tried out the Taylor 110e Dreadnought, sounded good, but nothing really jumped out at me (may be due to the ancient strings?), a really nice-sounding Martin... 00Xe something I believe, not a Dreadn...

Electric guitar question - Recommendations anyone?
Ok, so i was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a decent reasonably priced electric guitar... I've been playing guitar for about six years, but only seriously the last couple. I've always prefered the sound of acoustics over electrics, however, i bought a Squire Fender Strat copy a few ...

I put mine in the washing machine. LOL! You can use mineral oil on the neck. It smooths and restores the wood without having any negative effects. water will bloat the wood. Lemon juice has a pH of around 2.0 which will eat the wood. Don't use either. I've got a 35 yr old Contessa guitar whic...

Turin Brakes - Ether Songs = Easy & Sounds Sooooo Cool
I recently bought this album, listened a couple of times and was pretty impressed. They've got a kinda Radiohead influence, like they'd gotten stoned in between making Pablo Honey and the Bends, and made this... Tonight i picked up my guitar, hit ultimate-guitar.com and played along to this album. I...

No, they play it in standard. The first chord is an E7 at the seventh fret. details.....
x7979x :P I know, I play it that way in the beginning, but when I get into the verse and such i just play straight E and A. Then C and D. You know what I mean. ...

I've only been playing the guitar the past couple of years, and i've got about 20 memorised i'd guess. like everyone else says, when you first learn dave chords you think 'what the hell is he thinking?! i can't do this!' but then a pattern emerges and it all starts making sense. Favourites to play r...

Tim Solo 2005-10-28 Las Vegas
:? So, i've got a recording from 2005-10-28 in Las Vegas. I was wondering if a) anyone has this and has heard Timmy's solo after Two Step? b) they know what that tune he's playing is called or c) they can work any of it out, because it kicks ass. Even if they can work out the bass line. i'd love to ...

http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/g/goo_goo_dolls/black_ballon_guitar_pro.htm You need GuitarPro to view. You can download the demo to check it out or you can get it from 'other' sources. Worth a listen, after your post I remembered what a cool song it was (haven't listened to Dizzy Up The Girl in...
