I've owned a Chet (cedar), and I currently own a Crowdster. The Chet was great, but in all honesty, the Crowdster is like a chet on steroids. The playability is much better, the tone is more "acoustic" sounding, and the quality of the guitar far exceeds that of the chet. Even though they're both "ch...

If you're just trying to achieve the tone of a 914, just special order a Taylor 714 with an Englemann Spruce top. You won't have all the fancy inlay, but you'll save about $1000.

FS: Gibson Chet Atkins SST.

2001 Chet Atkins SST, cedar top, mahogany back, excellent condition, no major dings....does have normal pick marring from being played, but is only visible at certain angles. Very cool sounding guitar. The cedar top gives it a warmer, slightly fatter tone than the SST's with the sitka spruce top. $8...

Yeah, I should clarify that mine is the Gibson Chet. I play through a PA as well, and it sounds pretty darn cool. I would describe the sound as "acoustic with bite".

Mine is completely stock with a cedar top, and I love it. True, it doesn't sound like a "normal" acoustic, but it's a very cool sound. Everyone in my band thinks it has killer tone.

I'm the worship leader at my church so this post got my attention. I'd certainly go back and read the biblical context of the line "eat drink and be merry" before you decide on playing that one just to be sure the true meaning of that verse is the same as what you're thinking it means. Before I read...

If it's for recording puposes, I'd also try sticking a mic in front of the guitar and blending the two signals. Whenever I record, that's why I do to get a more natural sound.

With me being somewhat computer illiterate, can someone enlighten me on how to post pics to the forum?

I can always just email them directly to anyone that might be interested.
