the first riff sounds really emo to me.........not my thing. there's some parts that are worth honing and expanding on.

I'll agree that he is a bit inconsistent (trace) and that capo video is a little hmm whats the word..... showboatish? He's obviously very talented, but he could do without the extra fluff.

get an Oktava mk-319 you can get them for around 60-80 used. i just picked one up and a preamp for it and it sounds sweet as hell. plus, it's russian!

the part around 1:17 sounds sweet as hell. i'm not really a fan of this reynold's song but you covered it really well especially live.

i record on a soundblaster pci 16. it came with a computer that had windows 98 on it. it has nothing to do with the sound card. it's the mic, line, program.

sounds like a certain part of tim reynold's "stream" to me just jammed around. you maintain the pace well. i'm not a fan of the slow middle part though, the timing is bit odd (and i'm the most lax person on here about timing).

people keep asking about his setup because it sounds amazing. maybe he should just put it in his signature or something.....

really great feel to this one. i like how the smooth the breakdown around 1:30-1:55 goes right into the main part again. the timing flubs didn't bug me at all since i could hear how it was meant to sound. i like the percussive style you have on this one. that's one thing i love about Don Ross' stuff ...

i agree it takes a little bit for you to feel comfortable but your voice definetely sounds natural when you start getting into it. i like the way it sounds near the end. you can tell you have a good voice you just need to get comfortable. in the beginning it's a bit forced i think. overall really ...
