I really liked this. Very Joe Pass like. In fact, is this the version that he plays? Awesome, I wish I could play like this.

I've been getting some postive feedback on a dispatch cover that I did over a year ago so I figured I would record another one. Once again one track recording with the trusty dell mic. I think i'm gonna play this one at a show this Saturday, so let me know what ya think. Enjoy!

jared, thanks for the compliment. I am surprised that you dug up this thread from so long ago. I should rerecord this song, I can hit the vocals alot better now.

Wow, really good stuff man! Tonight, is an awesome song the others are really good too. You have a good feel for song structure and interesting melody lines. I'd like to get to this level at some point.

Honestly, I didn't care for the song too much. It really didn't grab my attention and the vocals were too airy for my tastes.
In, my opinion vary the song more muscially and vocally.

It is different from the album version in the fact that it is more percussive. I like the album version as ...

I like the riff. I don't know if I care for the melody line though that much. Since this was only a 15minute effort give it some time and develop the vocal line, and this could sound pretty good

I really don't like this song that much, but you do a real good job covering it. Hate to sound like a broken record but you have a real good voice.

Nice cover, guitar playing was great and the recording quality was good. You have a good sounding voice, my only constructive criticism is that every once and a while you go off pitch. The during the chorus you are consistently on pitch, but during the verse you go off pitch a couple of times.

Nice guitar playing. As for vocals, the sound of your voice isnt bad, but honestly it sounds as if you are tone deaf. I'm not trying to be mean here, just trying to help you improve.

The best idea may be to pick notes on the fretboard and try to match each note with your voice. Or pick an easy ...
