i can't stand people like that, and i went to a ton of shows with a big group of friends almost exclusively with those people - usual conversation (typical situation starts mid jam a couple years ago):

me: oh cool, TS at the jam
him: no dude, this is totally a new song
me: i guarantee you this is ...

i dunno - i think it's kind of interesting actually if it's about him personally, like his struggle with it through different events of his life - but then again, i don't like when he makes broad, anti-faith statements in some of his lyrics, but both pro or con are a huge topic of a lot of his music ...
