I started with an Ibanez PF- series. Ran me about 250 at the time. I think it was a good biginner guitar. I would go to the store and play every guitar they have, and get the one with in your price range tahst also sounds the best.

Do you not know anyone that knows how to play a guitar? If so, your best bet would be to take them with you, and get their input.

Guitar

I bought this $100 Johnson player pac thing to see if the guitar was something I was interested in. For being such a cheap guitaar, it doesn't soud bad. I would only buy it though if you aren't sure whether or not you're going to kepp playing after a few months.

I picked up a Hohner guitar for just about $100 at a small guitar store in town. It was wonderful for learning (which I still am). It's funny, I always had this attitude that the guitar sucked until I got a Taylor and then later a Martin. It really made me appreciate that guitar. It doesn't compare w/those high end guitars, but I now know what a great deal I got on a beginner instrument.

I forget the model, I'll check it out when I get home if you're interested.
Peace,

Stunt
