Intro to Jimi Thing from 2.14.97

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Intro to Jimi Thing from 2.14.97

Can anyone tab the little intro that Dave plays with Tim before Jimi Thing on 2.14.97 (and probably others)? I'm sure it's just a little variation from the main riff, but I can't figure it out. It sounds sweet.

Here is what I think 2.14.97 sounds like:

Code: Select all

E:--------------------------------------------------
B:--------------------------------------------------
G:---------------------------------------------(6)--
D:---9h11---------9-----------------------------7---
A:---------9h11-----11--9----7-----7h9-7--------0---
E:-0-------------------------------0---0----9-------

Hey, that's not bad. It obviously takes a lot of strumming improv though eh? Have you always played that, or did you just tab it out?

Just downloaded that song/tabbed it out. It differs slightly from the tab already on this site..

Yeah, it requires a lot of "feel" to get right..I suppose..
Just play around with those notes a bit and you could even make something up of your own. :D
