I think they 2nd demo you are talking about is the re-mastered version. I don't believe that there is an entirely different session that got recorded.

Wasn't there a second set that got out though with Build You a House, Busted Stuff, and JTR? I have those somewhere on CD. I'll have to look for them.

There was a second disc that had different versions of some other songs like SUAD, Bartender, Busted Stuff, JTR etc. The first disc has been remastered a couple times

I actually asked a similar question a while back. There is a second disc, although no one (besides maybe the band) has the full disc. I have the Lillywhite sessions, as well as 4 tracks from "disc 2". If someone would tell me an easy way to upload all these, I would be happy to. BTW I also have the Karmageddon remasterings if u want them.

that second disc has pretty choppy bad quality recordings of everything except for Build You a House. JTR, and whatever else is on there is pretty damn early in the process and the recordings are also pretty bad. Grace Is Gone intro is kinda cool though (all 8 seconds of it!)

Disc 2 was never fully released. The only full song from Disc 2 released was Build You a House. The rest was low quality clips so that some elitist could prove they have them. Just to basically hold it above other fans heads for a power trip. The track list was:

1. Bartender
2. JTR
3. Busted Stuff
4. Sweet Up & Down
5. Diggin' a Ditch
6. Build You a House
7. Captain
8. Untitled Jam
9. Grace is Gone

Disc 2 had alternate takes of songs. JTR for example had John the Revelator lyrics. Actually Disc 2 pre-dates the regular Lillywhite Sessions. The actual Lillywhite Sessions is not what would have been released had the album been finished. Grey Street and Raven were early rough cuts of both songs.

I found this on Ants real quick, in the story they did about the sessions. Just glad I remembered where to look:

"A source associated with the band claimed that the version on the leaked sessions was actually scrapped and a version with the refrain “Golden Monkey” would have been intended for the official album (if it made the final cut). The title Golden Monkey was being used by March of 2000 when the ML did their ‘news update’ using information supplied by Lillywhite. "
