Some suggestions

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Welcome to the boards JLH

And please try using the search function first , there has been posts about this b4 :)

Its hard to say whats easy and what isn't because we all learn differently ya know , but alot of people say " The Song That Jane Likes " " Lie In Our Graves " " All Along The Watchtower " " Christmas Song " " I'll Back You Up " just to name a few :)

Good Luck

i dont know about everyone else but crash was the first song i learned, it really built up my hand strength, stretching ability and callous... working through the strumming pattern correctly took a while though... dancing nancies was another one i learned right away, and halloween...

just look through the tabs of songs you want to play and practice practice practice :D

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

Crash is a great first tune because you have probably heard it ten thousand times so the strum pattern will be easier to pick up. go with songs you like the best they may not be the easiest but most daves songs take alot of TIME and PRACTICE. So go with one you will not get bored with.

I also did Crash first... and I'm a beginner too! So if ya need any help... or want to know the strumming pattern, then you can search this forum because I know I've asked it earlier :) Or just PM/IM me ;)

Have fun with it!
