xx5235

It's like a Dsus6 or D6 (xx0235, whatever the name for that is) with a G base note. My one friend told me that the xx5235 is a Gsus2.

Whatever it is I like it. That and A# (6887xx)

peace
that first one is a Dsus2, there is no such thing as a sus6.

and your friend was right, that is a Gsus2

i wouldn't call it that...

if you were to call it by a G# root, than it would something real nutty like G#aug6(sus4)/D

but with a D as the root it would be D7b5sus2

either way, its a crazy cool chord

Thank you very much fatjack. I have no clue what denotes if something is suspended, but I know of a Dsus2 and Dsus4, but I didn't know that it was a Dsus2 in with the A note on the high E string. I thought an Dsus2 was leaving the high E string open on the D chord. O well.

Thanks again

I love you oh so well, like a kid loves candy and fresh snow.

It's all good, FJ.

Some of us make mistakes...at least you didn't say Dsus6...that doesn't even exist.

It is computer software. It lets you plug in the fret and string, tuned however you want, and it tells you the notes and the chord that is created from those notes. I loved it when I had it.

my laptop was stolen during last spring and all that I had on it was erased...I had a great standard tuned version of "Screaming Infidelities" that Guitar Pro translated from the f'd up tuning that it is usually played in. But I had it until my comp was stolen. Darn robbers
