There's a faint hint of "I'm mixing up a bunch of magic stuff" from I Did It.

This album is going to be a lot better than Big Whiskey. I don't think it's going to be great, but I'm happy we're done with that southern bayou bullshit sound.

That song off of Big Whiskey came up the other day with the lyrics "Daddy when are you going write me a song", I was like "WTF?". These new songs sound a little bit better though, shouldn't be worse than the last two albums.

I still think Big Whiskey is a good album. It does have that New Orleans feel throughout, and the lyrics are weak in parts, but the music is ten times more interesting than Stand Up.

I'm getting pretty excited about the new record. I like Sweet, Mercy, Gaucho, and If Only quite a bit.

I really enjoyed Big Whisky for the first like 5 months after it came out. Now if any of those songs come up on shuffle, I'm just like, "fuck this. Play something off of Crash or BTCS." Didn't hold any replay value for me, I feel like this album will be similar.

I think I only listened to Big Whiskey once all the way through. I expect the same out of this. But hopefully there's a couple songs I will want to go back to.

I've decided I just can't get into this band's music anymore, even the old stuff. I doubt I'll get the new album when it comes out, but if I do and I find I don't like it, I might attribute it more to not liking their style anymore than bad writing, because again, even their old shit seems boring now.

It's weird because I used to listen to them exclusively for so long. Now if a song comes up on shuffle, I usually skip it cause it is so damn boring to me now. I don't understand how I got from then to now.

I'm like that too sometimes. I really have to be in the mood for it now.

I still put some on now and then, but I remember back in high school and college I thought BTCS was practically the best album ever... I used to bitch about Everyday etc but still thought the old stuff was amazing. Now I still think it's alright, but I rarely find myself in the mood for it. I tried to listed to BTCS the other day and just couldn't get into it. I still like L&LC though - it reminds me what it was like to really get into playing guitar. At the time I thought it was the perfect two-guitar music, and I still really like listening to Tim's complementary parts to what Dave was doing. He was good at it back then...now when I hear Tim play I think my cellphone is going off.

The best songs to come from the Big Whiskey sessions weren't even on the album (Beach Ball, Little Red Bird, Write A Song). Lying In The Hands of God is probably the only song on the album I wouldn't skip if it came up on my iPod
