hopefully the fact that dave played it solo means that he wrote it on his own and the band doesn't even know it yet. like how most of their better songs came to be.

Hey.

Black Water was a treat. I hadn't heard any tapes of it, so I didn't realize it was the Funk Dixieland song. Loved it. Eh Hee was still pretty mechanical, but it was alright. A Dream So Real is lame. #41 was nice, but Krasno annoyed me. He wouldn't let the song end because he kept tweedling on his yellow hollowbody. THE DREAMING TREE. Totally forgot this was a possibility. Really long, too. Awesome. I dunno how they play something like this and Bayou back to back and don't see the difference in quality. Jimi Thing -> butch scat -> dave scat -> For What It's Worth. Not bad. I was thrilled that Watchtower didn't end the show, and RR really made it fresh. #27 at the end of the set was nice, I didn't think we were gonna hear it, but it was mellower and a little slower than normal. It didn't have the grit it had over the summer. Warehouse was sweet. Louie Louie from the crowd. Thought that was the closer, but then Stay came out. Meh. Round and Round just seemed like a little nursery rhyme. Dave said he sings it to his new baby boy. Then Dave said "this is my good friend carter beauford on the drums," and then Carter started playing, which totally put thoughts of Halloween in my head, but then ASTB. Alright, not bad... into Too Much (with like .0001 time breakdown, they pretty much stopped the song) would have been a bit of a let down, but Ants saved it and made for a solid encore.

Would have liked to see some Veillette tunes. Shotgun would make a great first encore slot. Overall though, I really enjoyed the show. You didn't really know what to expect with it being a "one-off" sort of show. Not part of a tour I mean. I'll throw up a few pics later. My camera's full from the last couple weeks.

Black Water was dope as hell

ADSR is good traveling music to the bathroom

I don't like the Everyday at the end of 41, which did drag.

#27 always reminds me how much i miss Hello Again.

Eh Hee is getting better with the band.

They played Bayou without RR, so it was double teh suck

Dave has to start singing chocolate rain at the end of Dreaming Tree

I miss Too Much w/ the Lil' John interpolation(It's almost so old it can be retro right?)

encore - talks about his new baby boy for a little, plays that little nursery rhyme type song for about a minute then into gravedigger. Makes sense right? "New baby boy....when you dig my grave...."

i thought the bands best work last night with die trying. they put a hell of amount of energy into that song and the jam at the end is getting be one hell of a fucking jam. they went nuts on that jam so i was pretty impressed. other than that the who show was awsome i didnt really care for the encore after gravedigger tho. i recommend a listen of the show
