. John Mayer was a member of the Dave Lebowitz Band and he wrote a bunch of songs for them. Dave was jealous of Mayers skillz and plotted to have him kicked out. To earn money he took his songs he wrote and people paid for them. He was a ghost writer. He also wrote or co-wrote MMM Bop, NSYNC's Bye Bye Bye, Nelly's Grillz, ACe of BAse's The Sign, and Limp Bizkit's Nookie.

Thank you! Maner is a genius and way better at guitarz than Dave. The riff of Proudest Monkey and Typical Situation (which Maner wrote as well) proves it.
