Dave was under intense pressure from RCA to just get something done and the quickest way to do that was to get a shitty pop producer who could turn a record out in a heartbeat. The band recovered quite well from ED by writing some really great songs, centered around Dave (YNK, '04 songs) and releasing a pretty good album in BS.
The same cannot be said for what has gone on since Stand Up. Batson completely fucked everything up with his, Seinfeld approach to song writing. (Boyd warming up) "There's a song, that's a song!" and by involving the other band members who can't write a lick to join in on the process.

I appreciate him doing stuff like that. But I can't help laughing at what a tool he is on these videos that he makes. Remember when he recorded himself playing guitar in his hotel room during the European tour?

Rolling down the road
Current mood: calm
Here I am, traveling down the road on my way to Indianapolis on the bus. It is 2:00AM and I just had the day off in Charlottesville. It was about 100 degrees outside but I was at Haunted Hollow all day so I stayed cool. I was working on some music that I've had in my head for a while. As I found myself in the guitar booth putting down a guitar track I noticed that it got real dark outside. No sooner had the sky changed color the heavens opened up and gave the studio a good summer storm. Inspiration flooded me as I went back to work.
Anyways, just stopping by to say hi. Thanks again for all the comments and messages. If I had the time, I would write back, but just know that I love you all and enjoy reading everything I get. Our fans really are the best fans out there.
