I'm gonna call Carl tomorrow probly, see what's up. If we can't get into soundcheck, I won't have to stress out about meeting the man in person. If we can get into soundcheck, then I'll have heart palpatations.
I never know how to let him know it's me because I'm never sure how well he remembers me or what we last talked about on the phone. Hey carl, it's andrew? it's andrew marvin? remember I went to your birthday party. I JUST DON'T KNOW.
So I just got off the phone with Carl. After I said my name twice he said "ohhhh oh yeah, andrew, hey." I told him I emailed Pete Hilton with my order, and that my dad and I were gonna be in town all day on Saturday for Les' show. He was very quiet on the phone, and he told me that he couldn't talk because one of his very close friend's dad just died, Jeff Frohman, so he was in the middle of talking to Jeff about it when I called. (I'M SUCH AN ASSHOLE). I met Jeff when I went to Carl's birthday party, he owns a music shop and a couple CTs. Anyway, Carl said he couldn't talked right now, but to call when we're in town on saturday.
Well, off to NYC tomorrow to see Les play the Nokia Theatre. He's doing a book signing/reading at barnes and noble at 6:00, so we're gonna try to catch that. I'm gonna call carl in the morning to see if he has any time to hang out.

I dunno if you've been keeping up with the thread, but Carl invited me down to his birthday party back in february. This'll be the second time I hang out with him. It's not like we're close friends, but the man is making me a $4000+ bass, might as well get to know him.
