Exactly. Not a good idea to spread this, but I don't think many tapers post here anyway. Is the readme that says do not spread as lossy in there?

i dont have any allowed sbd shows to my knowledge. im only hosting good quality shows though. that 2.24.95 one might be sbd, it sounds great.

Every time something is converted to mp3 some highs and lows are cut off the save space. everytime something is zipped it is compressed, losing quality, and so on and so forth, repeated over time it just gets worse. This is why most tapers post stuff in Flac or SHN or something lossless, so you can download and do whatever you please with it privatley.

Zipping doesn't affect file size or sound quality. Thats why almost EVERY show on the Archive is zipped and ready for download

when you zip mp3 it effects it. that is why it is lossless. shows i download are zipped, but often almost wav or flac.
